Mysore is a tradition, a culture and heritage in totality. This 2nd largest city of Karnataka state is undoubtedly the palace city of India and quite remarkably, the cultural city of the state due to its majestic monuments and vivacious traditions. Showcasing the imperial treasures of Mysore, this festival is marked with royal cavalcade of king marching on the city streets with palanquins, elephants, horses, and camels decorated in multihued attires. The city also has some quite fascinating places to see which include Mysore Palace, Brindavan Gardens, Chamundi Hill with its hill top temple, Mysore Zoo, and St. Philomenas Church.

Best time to visit Mysore:

Mysore, the city of Palaces, receives moderate climate all through the year, hence it can be visited at any time of year depending on your time schedule.

But winter is the best time to visit Mysore, if you evaluate amongst the seasons. Winter temperature remains around 10 degree Celsius making it pleasant for tourism. Travelers can ensure that their visit will be one of the best trips during this time. This season holds three major festivals of Mysore, Vijaya Dashmi, Deepawali, and Pongal (Sankranti), which mesmerize travelers by the spectacular display of splendid art, glorious culture, and rich tradition of this place filling the heart with delight.

Weather during summers is moderately hot and days are sunny in this period. Temperature of Mysore remains between 25 to 35 degrees which draws attention of tourists who are looking for decent place with pleasant climate for vacations. Cool breeze flowing through this city makes it more pleasant and refreshes the tourists with lot of enthusiasm. Basically this season floats between March and May.

Monsoon hits this place in the mid of June and continues till September. This season really enhances the beauty of natural ambiance to allure the tourists with lush green surroundings. This city receives heavy to moderate rainfall, which is too appealing for nature lovers.
